Before you print. Most households find it easier to start with the family emergency plan, then the home safety inspection checklist, then a seasonal guide. Working through everything at once is the most common reason a plan is abandoned halfway.

Printing, sharing and reproducing

Households, schools, libraries, tenants’ associations and community groups may print and distribute these documents freely, provided the attribution line and revision date remain on each page. You do not need to ask us first.

Commercial reproduction — including use in paid training, inclusion in a product package, or resale in any form — requires written permission. The full licence terms are set out in our terms and conditions.

If you are adapting material for a specific community, please contact us before publishing. We are usually glad to help and would rather review a translation than discover an inaccurate one later.

Printed copies by post

We mail printed copies at no charge to households in Ontario without reliable printing access, and in bulk to community organisations running their own sessions.
